TDI faculty and doctoral students are available to give online and in-person lectures on Transition Design and systems change.
Faculty and doctoral students from the Transition Design Institute (TDI) are available to deliver lectures, presentations, and keynote addresses on a wide range of topics related to sustainability transitions and systems-level change. Drawing on TDI’s research and pedagogy, these talks introduce key ideas—such as designing for transitions, systems thinking, systemic solutions, cosmopolitan localism, the ecological worldview, and transition pathways—and offer both theoretical frameworks and applied insights for those working to create change.
Lectures can be tailored to different audiences, from guest talks in academic programs to keynote presentations at symposia, government agencies, NGOs, industry events, and community forums. Past presentations have engaged design, policy, and planning audiences across universities worldwide, as well as practitioners seeking to apply Transition Design principles in diverse contexts.
Whether introducing core concepts, presenting case studies, or facilitating discussions, each lecture is grounded in the Transition Design framework, which integrates systems thinking, long-term future visioning, and new approaches to catalyzing change across scales.
