Dialogues in Transition: A New TDI Speaker Series
To coincide with the launch of the new The Transition Design Institute, we will launch a new online discussion series titled Dialogues in Transition. The series will bring together researchers, educators, practitioners, and others working in the areas of transitions and systems-level change to explore new ideas, projects, and approaches to this work. Each session will feature dialogue among panelists from diverse disciplines, cultures, and geographies, with time set aside for conversation with participants. The goal is to foster an open, international exchange of knowledge and experience that opens up opportunities for transdisciplinary collaboration.
We hope to schedule these every month or two, and topics, dates, and speaker details will be announced on the Transition Design Institute website and social platforms. In particular, we hope to bring a pluriversal perspective to these conversations about transitions and systems change, and we invite suggestions for speakers and topics from diverse cultures and geographies. Session #1: Looking Back on Ten Years of Transition Design
The first online session featured a conversation between Transition Design co-founders Gideon Kossoff, Cameron Tonkinwise, and Terry Irwin, reflecting on the past ten years of Transition Design—its origins, evolution, and where it needs to head next.
The event took place on May 20 at 6:30 PM EST (Pittsburgh) / May 21 at 8:30 AM AEST (Sydney). You can watch a recording of the conversation and access the notes and links from the Zoom chat via the links on the top right.
